DOUGLAS ADAMS

“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”
― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Douglas Adams was born in 1952, March 11 in Cambridge, England.  While he is best known for his novel series “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” he has many other novels and projects. These include works such as “Doctor WHO”, “Dirk Gently”, and “Last Chance to See” among others. He passed away on May 11, 2001 at age 49.

Adams has referred to himself as a radical atheist. He firmly does not believe that there is a God: “So, I do not believe-that-there-is-no-god. I am, however, convinced that there is no god, which is a totally different stance…”. And while he does not believe, he states that he finds it fascinating and that “that fascination is bound to spill over into my writing.”
